Today I bought the new Sub Pop edition of Mojo. I must say, the CD rules. But I noticed that they mentioned My Bloody Valentine a total of 3 times throughout the magazine including a huge spread about them. Kevin Shields was mentioned a 4th time because of his project with Patti Smith. I called it; they're coming back.

Another thing I happened to see was a little snippet where they said that Creation Records are merging with Sony. Sony is taking over Creation. It's officially the death of shoegaze. At least they haven't taken 4AD yet.

This leads me to wonder if My Bloody Valentine are going to stay with Creation/Sony? If so, that makes them a major label band. That would be really strange. Actually, didn't they get kicked off of Creation in like 2002 anyway because they took so long to make new material? I don't remember. They might be with Island now.

In other news, school starts Tuesday and I still haven't read Their Eyes Were Watching God. Oops.
